Airport to AT&T Stadium: DFW & Love Field Transfer Guide

Millions of fans are flying into Dallas for FIFA World Cup 2026. Most of them are going to land at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport or Dallas Love Field and immediately face the same question: how do I get from here to AT&T Stadium in Arlington?

We operate airport-to-stadium transfers and we've been doing it for DFW events for 25 years. Here's a complete, honest guide to every option available — including the ones we don't make money on.

The Two Dallas Airports

Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW)

DFW is the primary international gateway and one of the busiest airports in the United States. It serves all major domestic and international carriers and has five terminals (A, B, C, D, E) connected by the Skylink people mover.

Distance to AT&T Stadium: Approximately 18 miles via TX-360 South. Under normal traffic, this is a 20–25 minute drive. During World Cup match days, add 30–60 minutes.

International arrivals: Terminal D handles most international flights. Customs and immigration at DFW can take 45–90 minutes for international flights depending on volume and your nationality. Factor this into your timeline.

Dallas Love Field (DAL)

Love Field is a smaller, predominantly domestic airport located about 6 miles northwest of downtown Dallas. It primarily serves Southwest Airlines and a handful of other carriers.

Distance to AT&T Stadium: Approximately 25 miles via I-30 West. Under normal traffic, this is a 30–35 minute drive. Add 30–60 minutes on match days.

Love Field does not have international arrivals — if you're flying internationally, you'll almost certainly land at DFW.

Transfer Option 1: Charter Bus (Best for Groups of 8+)

For groups of 8 or more people flying into Dallas together, a chartered transfer from the airport directly to the stadium (or your hotel first, then the stadium) is the most reliable, most comfortable, and often most cost-effective option.

Here's how a typical airport-to-stadium transfer works with us:

  1. Your group lands and clears baggage claim
  2. We're at the designated pickup area outside the terminal with your driver
  3. You board, luggage goes in the storage compartment
  4. We drive directly to your hotel or straight to AT&T Stadium, depending on your itinerary
  5. Everyone stays together — no splitting up across multiple rideshares

No coordinating separate cars. No waiting for surge-priced Ubers outside the terminal. No rental car paperwork.

For groups with international travelers who may not have U.S. phone plans set up yet, having a confirmed, waiting driver is particularly valuable. There's no app to configure and no phone number to call — we're there when you land.

Charter bus (up to 56 passengers): $185/hour, 5-hour minimum Sprinter van (up to 14 passengers): $135/hour, 4-hour minimum

Transfer Option 2: Rideshare (Uber/Lyft)

Rideshare is the default option for most solo travelers and small groups. It works, with caveats.

From DFW: Rideshare pickup at DFW is in designated areas on the lower level of each terminal (follow signs for "Rideshare" or "TNC"). Be prepared for waits — the pickup zones are busy on normal days and will be significantly more congested during World Cup.

From Love Field: Rideshare pickup is on the upper level outside the terminal. Shorter walks than DFW, but the same surge pricing dynamics apply.

Surge pricing reality: During match days, Uber and Lyft prices at DFW will surge significantly. This happens at every major event in the DFW area. For a group of four, the math may still work. For a group of eight or more, compare the total rideshare cost against a charter van before defaulting to Uber.

Our honest take on rideshare for airport transfers: It's fine for small groups who are flexible on timing. For large groups, especially those with luggage, it's logistically messy and price-unpredictable.

Transfer Option 3: DART/TRE Public Transit

The Trinity Railway Express (TRE) connects DFW Airport to the Dallas/Fort Worth area with a stop at CentrePort/DFW Airport station. On event days at AT&T Stadium, shuttle buses operate from the stadium to the CentrePort station, which connects back to the TRE.

From DFW to AT&T Stadium via TRE:

  1. Take the DART Orange or Blue Line train from within the airport to the CentrePort/DFW Airport station
  2. Transfer to a TRE train toward Fort Worth
  3. Ride to a stadium shuttle connection (event-day only service)
  4. Shuttle bus to AT&T Stadium

This is a legitimate option and significantly cheaper than rideshare or charter for solo travelers on a budget. The full journey can take 60–90 minutes depending on connections. With luggage and a large group, it becomes impractical.

From Love Field: Love Field does not have a direct TRE connection. You would need to take a DART bus or rideshare to a connecting DART rail station first, adding considerable time.

DART fare information: Current fares are available at DART.org. Day passes are available and appropriate for visitors.

Transfer Option 4: Rental Car

Every major rental car company operates at both DFW and Love Field. Rental cars give you the most flexibility for your entire stay, not just the airport-to-stadium leg.

The disadvantage: You'll need to park at AT&T Stadium, which during a World Cup match means pre-purchased parking, significant expense, and significant post-game wait times. If you're renting a car primarily to have a way to get to the stadium, the parking cost and traffic math may not work in your favor.

Rental cars make the most sense if you're visiting Dallas for multiple days and want to explore the city, not just attend one match.

Tips for International Arrivals at DFW

If you're flying into DFW from outside the United States, here's what to expect on arrival and how to plan your transfer:

Customs and Immigration Timeline

DFW handles a high volume of international arrivals. At peak times — weekend mornings, afternoons following overnight transatlantic flights — the CBP line in Terminal D can take 45–90 minutes. If you're on a tight timeline to get to the stadium, account for this in your planning.

Our recommendation for international travelers: Build at least 3 hours of buffer between your scheduled landing time and match kickoff. This accounts for customs, baggage claim, and transit.

Currency and Connectivity

ATMs are available throughout DFW. U.S. dollars are the only currency accepted at AT&T Stadium and by any transportation provider. No venue or transportation service in the DFW area accepts foreign currency.

International visitors who need a U.S. phone number or data plan have several options: T-Mobile, AT&T, and Verizon all have retail kiosks in the main terminals at DFW. Alternatively, many international plans include North American data coverage — check with your carrier before you travel.

What to Tell Your Driver

If you book with us, we'll confirm your flight number in advance. We monitor flights and adjust pickup timing if your arrival is delayed. You won't need to call us — we're tracking your flight.

For other transportation options, make sure you have a local contact number ready and a clear pickup point agreed upon before you land. "Outside terminal" is not a specific enough meeting point at DFW.

| Your Airport | Your Group Size | Our Recommendation | |---|---|---| | DFW | Solo | Rideshare or DART/TRE | | DFW | 2–6 people | Rideshare (watch for surge) | | DFW | 7–14 people | Sprinter van charter | | DFW | 15–56 people | Charter bus | | Love Field | Solo | Rideshare | | Love Field | 2–6 people | Rideshare | | Love Field | 7+ people | Charter bus or sprinter |

Combining Airport Transfer with Match Day Logistics

Many of our World Cup bookings cover the full day, not just the airport leg. For groups flying in on match day, we can structure a single booking that covers:

  1. Airport pickup at DFW or Love Field
  2. Hotel check-in drop-off (if needed)
  3. Stadium transportation for the match
  4. Return to hotel after the match

This kind of consolidated booking simplifies your entire day and locks in a flat rate instead of multiple separate charges. It also means you're not scrambling to find transportation between your hotel and the stadium after a long flight.

How Far Is AT&T Stadium from Dallas Hotels?

The closest hotel cluster to AT&T Stadium is in Arlington itself, within the Entertainment District. Many World Cup visitors will choose to stay there. But a significant number will book hotels in downtown Dallas, the Dallas Galleria area, or near DFW airport for better availability.

Approximate distances to AT&T Stadium from common hotel areas:

  • Downtown Dallas: ~22 miles via I-30 West (~30 min normal traffic)
  • Dallas Galleria/Addison: ~28 miles (~35 min normal traffic)
  • DFW Airport area: ~18 miles via TX-360 (~25 min normal traffic)
  • Arlington Entertainment District: 0–2 miles (walking distance for some hotels)
  • Fort Worth downtown: ~22 miles via I-30 East (~30 min normal traffic)

On World Cup match days, add 30–60 minutes to all of these estimates.

Book Your Transfer in Advance

Our fleet has 15 vehicles. World Cup 2026 spans June 11 – July 19, and Dallas hosts 9 matches in that window. We will fill our calendar during that period — it's not a question of if, it's a question of when.

Booking early means locking in your rate before demand pushes prices up (or availability disappears entirely). It also gives you time to plan the rest of your match-day logistics around a confirmed transportation plan.
